As the owner of an American Basketball Association (ABA) franchise in Ohio, Jovonte is committed to building a competitive organization while providing athletes with opportunities to advance their basketball careers both nationally and internationally. His vision extends beyond the game, focusing on player development, leadership, and creating pathways to professional basketball.
Alongside his work as a team owner, Jovonte has competed professionally overseas in Bosnia, gaining valuable international playing experience that continues to shape his approach to coaching, player development, and team leadership.
Away from the court, Jovonte has devoted his career to serving his community through behavioral health and mentorship programs, working with youth and adults to promote positive life choices, emotional wellness, and personal growth. His passion for helping others has made him a trusted mentor both on and off the court.
A longtime advocate for health and fitness, Jovonte has worked as a fitness and wellness trainer for more than 10 years, helping clients improve their strength, conditioning, and overall well-being. He also owned and operated a boxing gym that provided youth with a structured environment focused on discipline, confidence, fitness, and character development.
Whether leading an ABA organization, competing as a professional athlete, mentoring young people, or building community programs, Jovonte’s mission remains the same: to inspire others, create opportunities, and make a lasting impact through sports, wellness, and service.
